how we grow
we grow things (and not just plants)
we get our hands in the soil—literally. through gardening and sustainability, we teach people how to grow their own food, reconnect with the earth, and experience the quiet kind of healing that only happens outside.
because sometimes growth starts with something as small as a seed.
what this looks like:
hands-on gardening workshops, community garden builds, and small group sessions that teach sustainable growing practices, food cultivation, and the therapeutic benefits of nature-based activities.
we connect through animals
there’s something about dogs—they meet you exactly where you are. through safe, meaningful interactions, we use animal connection to build trust, regulate emotions, and remind people what unconditional presence feels like.
no pressure. no judgment. just connection.
what this looks like:
structured, supervised interactions with trained dogs in community settings such as assisted living facilities, community centers, and small group programs focused on emotional regulation, companionship, and social connection.
we feed your mood
food is more than fuel—it’s information. through our nutrition-based programming, we explore how what we eat impacts how we feel, think, and function.
we make it simple, practical, and real—because wellness should actually be doable.
what this looks like:
a structured multi-week program that combines nutrition education, practical meal strategies, and guided discussions to support mental wellness—especially for individuals managing mood-related challenges.
we create second chances
we believe people are more than their past. rooots creates opportunities for individuals navigating life transitions—especially those reentering society—to build skills, find purpose, and step into something new.
not just a fresh start—a real one.
what this looks like:
partnerships with local organizations to provide skill-building opportunities, supportive work environments, and pathways to employment and reintegration for individuals seeking stability and purpose.
we build community that actually feels like community
no cliques. no judgment. no pretending.
just real people, real conversations, and a space where you don’t have to have it all figured out.
because healing happens faster when you don’t have to do it alone.
what this looks like:
small group gatherings, workshops, and community events designed to foster connection, reduce isolation, and create a safe, welcoming environment for shared growth and support.
we slow things down
in a world that constantly pushes for more, faster, better—we create space to pause. to breathe. to be.
because sometimes the most powerful thing you can do… is stop and reconnect.
what this looks like:
intentional programming that incorporates mindfulness, reflection, and low-pressure environments where participants can engage at their own pace without expectation or overwhelm.

everything we do is designed to help people come back to themselves—and grow from there.
